Are there Wealth Phase Charts and T.A.P.S. Slider Bars at the Zip Code or other Micro Market levels?

Question:

Are there Wealth Phase Charts and T.A.P.S. Slider Bars at the Zip Code or other Micro Market levels?

Answer:

NO — micro-market data doesn't have a sufficient number of transactions for the kind of statistical accuracy that T.A.P.S. and the other Technical Analysis studies require. Also, micro-markets are NOT a "market" — they're small pieces of the Metro market, and they generally move in line with that Metro over time.

You should primarily use micro-market data to compare relative differences between ZIP codes inside each Metro. On the new platform that means: at the ZIP level you get a best-to-worst ranking (on the Map and in The Table) — not the full Wealth Phase / T.A.P.S. / S.T.A.R. treatment, which lives on the Market Summary Report at the Metro / City level.

Beyond accuracy, Metro-level data also responds faster to big changes. If a market dives or shoots to the moon, it shows up at the Metro level well before the micro level. So begin your search at the Metro level (where the Wealth Phase and T.A.P.S. sliders do exist), then drill down inside your chosen metro to find the relatively stronger ZIP pockets.

Wealth Phase, T.A.P.S., and S.T.A.R. live on the Metro-level Market Summary Report (Advanced Mode shown here) — at the ZIP level you instead get a relative ranking of the pockets inside that metro.
