If the site or the tools (the Map, The Table, the Market Summary Report, or Custom Charts PRO) start behaving oddly — not loading, showing stale data, or repeatedly logging you out — clearing your HousingAlerts cookies and cache is a quick first fix. Doing it for just the HousingAlerts site (rather than your whole browser) keeps your other logins intact.
Google Chrome
- Launch Google Chrome and click the three vertical dots (⋮) in the upper-right corner.
- Click Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Privacy and security.
- Click Site settings.
- At the bottom, click View permissions and data stored across sites.
- In the Search box, type HousingAlerts.
- Click the three vertical dots (or the trash/delete icon) to the right of housingalerts.com in the list.
- Click Clear data (or Delete).
- Confirm by clicking Clear / Delete.
Then fully close and reopen Chrome, and log back in at www.housingalerts.com/members.
Firefox
- Launch Firefox and click the three horizontal lines (☰, the menu button) in the upper-right corner.
- Click Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security from the left sidebar.
- Under Cookies and Site Data, click Manage Data.
- Type HousingAlerts in the search box.
- Both housingalerts.com and www.housingalerts.com will appear. Click the first, hold Ctrl (⌘ on Mac), and click the second so both are selected.
- Click Remove Selected.
- Click Save Changes.
- Click Remove in the confirmation pop-up.
Then fully close and reopen Firefox, and log back in.
Tip: If you use a different browser (Edge, Safari, Brave), the idea is the same — open the browser's privacy/cookies settings, search for "housingalerts," and delete that site's stored cookies and cache, then restart the browser.
